Hi Tina,
Well like you I just gave up on using KR64 even though today I pull a kr
slide and scan one, it's so wonderful to see the print from it. Not to say
those from 100S or SW or Provia aren't beautiful also, it's just Kodachrome
has a look all it's own.

However, as we saw KR processing gradually phased out of Canada from west to
central, Toronto, then into the USA, processing times increased, little
thingies became more often in the emulsion and the odd roll went missing.

Not only that, but when you're shooting for income and the client knows they
can use someone else and have their results within a few hours, and even
though I might have been the better shooter and using KR64....... I was
loosing assignments due to the time frame. A week to ten days and longer
sometimes.

The real world functions in hours and minutes. And the difference of getting
a multi thousand dollar assignment or not is determined on how quickly you
shoot, get processing done, edited and into print can't be determined by,
"OK we'll have the film back a week next Monday!"

It just came down to common sense, die with KR or survive with the other
films and I'm a survivor! So it was bye bye Kodak Kodachrome, period. No
matter how beautiful it is.
