And how does that hurt the list?  What's it matter how many lurkers there
are?

I could see if you were getting some kind of ad revenue, the sheer number of
eyeballs would be important.  But for people who read and don't contribute,
what's the big deal?

It's easy enough to ignore threads that don't interest you.  That's the only
way I manage to stay halfway current.
