It is rather unfortunate that it looks as if the subject is staring right at it. I wish I could remember whether I saw the ashtray in the viewfinder before I took the picture. I am quite convinced that it was obscured by the lens, though. In any case, I have learned a lot from the comments I have received from LUG members on this picture.
