You're right, of course. I've got a copy of that venerable volume and thought 
about it right after I sent the message. If I recall, the discussion focuses on 
build quality but doesn't say too much about how the lens performs. I don't say 
this as a criticism, but as an explanation of my earlier post. I don't think I've 
ever seen one of these lenses or prints made by them and don't know how they 
actually perform.

Anybody out there got one of these? Can any one comment on how it stacks up 
against that other 50/1.5 wonder the Summarit?
