Ray,

It is inevitable...the moment you start *considering* whether you need a
new piece of Leica equipment, you WILL end up rationalizing buying it...

Seriously, based on your lenses, for the 50 and 90 you certainly do not
NEED a 0.58, but undoubtedly it is handy for the 28 and 35mm focal lenghts
of the Tri-Elmar. I have a 0.85 and 0.58, and certainly with the 35mm I
prefer the 0.58. I also sometimes use it with the 24mm lens without putting
on the external viewfinder. For focal lengths of 50mm and longer, I prefer
the 0.85.
