That's even worse.  It means my camera isn't ready to shoot when I pull it
out!  :)  I'd rather be able to cock the shutter and have the last shutter
speed/aperture combo I used still set.  Like you said, it's not really
wasting a frame of film.  Sometimes those "oops...need to take another
picture" images turn out pretty good!

I have the TTL version, so mine has an off label on the dial.  I learned
pretty quickly that off wasn't the same as not being able to fire the
shutter.  Now THAT was a wasted frame.
