A few years ago, "Jingle All The Way" with Schwarzenegger was filmed in and
around Minneapolis, during winter.  We already had snow and had more snow
storms while they were filming, but every day the crews would start removing
the snow at around 5a and then would put down fake snow in the areas that
would be on camera.

Only thing I could figure is that under some of the lights, real snow would
have melted between some of the retakes so it wouldn't have been exactly the
same in different scenes.  Either that, or those Hollywood boys are so used
to fakery that they can't deal with the real thing.  :)
