I've got no problem with identifying the media.  I'm just reacting to the whiff of pretension I detect in the specific terms "gelatin silver" and "giclee", when "silver print" or "squirt print" (sorry, "inkjet") would do just as well.

Artists and galleries have always labelled the technology used in the
making of the art.   Hence "Watercolour" , "Oil painting" etc.   Why should
photographic art be any different?
