Subject: [Leica] Odd problem with a Noctlilux

Just lashed out and bought myself a used Noctilux for my jazz photography.
(the original f1.0 Noctilux with the bayonet hood).

When I was taking the hood off, I noticed an odd problem - part of the
barrel (not the focus, aperture or filter needless to say) rotated freely.

Fortunately it's under warranty.

Any ideas as to what the problem (and I'm assuming it is a problem) might
be?
