When focusing the lenses, place the index finger of the left hand beneath the front of the tube and apply a slight upward pressure. The lenses focus much more smoothly, particularly the 560. Also, do not use a cable release when the lenses are on a tripod. Instead, push up or down on the camera body until the slack is taken up and then release the shutter. I was skeptical but it works! The images are sharper than with a cable release. The only problem is you have to anticipate a slight change when framing of the subject but with a little practice, it is not a problem.
