I hope you were joking, but just in case you're like the fellows who think 
that if your lens turns farther on your screw mount it's messed up the focus 
by screwing in too far, or that roughening the threads will make the lens 
stop sooner turning in its mount and line up with the right spot on the 
adapter (both wrong, if you think about it), adjusting the springs on the 
tube of the Summicron and Summarit doesn't move the position of the lens a 
bit unless it's customarily in the _wrong_ (drooped) position.

edward, why be scared poking a summitar?  more than likely it'll be
improved . i'm surprised you havent thought of poking for a downward
tilt.
you gain depth of field at no f-stop cost whatsoever! there is no need
to
see the schmeimflug effect like you have to with a reflex. you already
know
how the unique way summitar will render the foreground: fuzzy
infocus.ralph
