My sentiments exaclty. A beauty of a lens, but WHERE did you get the
adapter to fit the 280 head on the Televit-R? That's the only piece I'm
missing! Even with the standard helical focus mount this is one of my
favorite lenses.

Hey everyone! This is a WTB: 14138 adapter to fit 280 f/4.8 Telyt to a
Televit!

SNIP --

Doug,

I had to look about 3 years for the lens head and adapter after I found
my f5.6 400mm Telyt. Looking for a f5.6 560mm head, I found a f5.6
560mm Telyt with a Televit rapid-focusing mount for sale. (One really
long lens, but not too heavy.) Interested, I called on the 560 and in
the conversation asked if seller had a 280mm head for the Televit. He
said, "Yes, are you interested?" My throat and mouth went dry, and I
blurred out in a rasp, "By chance do you have the ADAPTER?" "Of course"
was the response, and I, CALMLY, STILL RASPY, BUT FIRMLY said, "I will
take them both..." and then asked the price -- which was very
reasonable.

Doug, if I find another 14138 Televit Adapter for the 11904 head, I will
either purchase it or tell you about it -- calmly and quickly.
