Eric,
You are such a purist. You know what, photographer like Annie Leibovots use
81Bs most of the time (I met her and asked this so I know it first hand).
And guess what, her stuff sells! Yes, she does use a Leica for portability
but an RZ67 most of the time.

Just because they use the same glass doesn't mean they're equal. The way to
grind them, polish them, the mounts the put them in, the cement they use on
polarizers (and seals on certain polarizers) can make a difference in the
final quality. None are better than no filters, though, for absolute image
quality.
