I don't know about your R4 and lens at $5K, perhaps they were quoting list price. They seem to like the Ms, less the Rs. I am not saying they are the perfect source for test information, no one is, but at least they don;t pick all german lenses as the #1 lens as other magazines do. Think about it Eric. If your happy with your R and lenses, great. They have great glass. But realize, other lenses can take pictures too! And in the end its the image you get, not the clarity of it that sells. So my image with say a Sigma lens might make the front page, albeit not as sharp as your Leica shot. Peter K
