Oh Danny Boy...

That R7 is truly the best electronic R camera Leica has ever produced. It
is basically bug free, nearly vibration free, MLU, 1/2 shutter speeds,
etc... While the R8 is the next generation, and has these plus more
features, I'm afraid that for me, the electronics/motor/and other 1st
generation product anomolies, put it in the "experimental" catagory. I know
that when I pick up my R7, it WILL work, all day today, tomorrow, next
week, next year, etc. The winders work relentlessly, for ever. It is just
simply a complete, end of the line, we finally got everything figured out,
R camera. In a couple of years, I expect a rev to the R8. The current
anomolies will be history, and some of the R8 features might interest me.
But for now... where's that 10 foot pole?

Jim
