Laziness pays off now The Canon scanner you are referring is probably the 2700F. It was released in Europe and Asia first and much later in the US. I have read several reviews as well as contacted an individual who has this scanner. It is a fine scanner, comparable to the LS 1000 in some features. But it was reported that for scanning slides, there is still some 'noise' in dark or shadow areas. I am eyeing the LS 2000 as it is reported it has a greater dynamic range than the LS 1000.
