I am curious as to the source for this allegation.  The 1.4/50 Summilux-M
is a wonderful lens and is quite satisfactory wide-open.  Other lenses MAY
exceed its performance on any given optical parameter, but I don't believe
any other lens of like specification is as satisfactory across the board,
though the 1.5/5cm CZJ Sonnar and its derivatives come close.
