Donal: Your sense of humour is much appreciated. Your comment is also
applicable to several of the recent threads.
By the way, Leica should also insist that all authorized dealers construct a
dust-free room(say, class 100 by IC assembly standards); then the buyer
should be able to inspect each camera and lens  for the most minute
imperfections,   using  up-to date instruments before taking possession.
Subsequently, the product should be stored in a temperature and
humidity-controlled display case.
