But a few times when I had a vivitar 283 I used it on the M6, and it worked. But I'm positive you'll receive better advice from a regular flash M6 user. The 135mm lens on the M6, where I had to buy one due to the nature of the "quiet assignment" I found it too cumbersome and didn't like the viewfinder appearance. My longest preference for the M6 is a 90mm. Anything longer I use an R8.
