I have the same feeling.  I used Elite 200 and K200 in the R8 and K25 in
the M6 on my last trip.  In several instances I feel that the R8 in
Matrix is biased toward overexposure. AAfter I got back I shot E 100s in
the R8 and K64 un the M6.  I found the R8 with matrix metering definitely
lighter than the shots with the K64.  

 I have just returned a K64 film from the R8 and the Elite 100 from the
M6 (from what I saw I was not impressed with the E100s - but then most of
it was overexposed and lost color saturation.). I am very familiar with
K64, having shot it for years, and I should have the slides back
tomorrow.  These were shot as companion shots - mostly to evaluate the
color differences.  I will be interested to see if the R8 shots are
overexposed.  

The funny thing is that in playing with the R8, M6 and hand meters,
reflective and incident, the R8 in matrix many times would indicate less
exposure than the others!!! (no film in the cameras and all set at asa
64).  I don't feel that I can rely with the matrix metering - although on
of the LUGers  that shoots print film says it is dead on which might 
indicate an overexposure bias. I hope that this is not true, for if I
want AE I want it to work in matrix also - or I should just have kept the
R7!  Actually the R8 has the best shutter I have seen in a camera and I
like the feel of the beast.
