About two years ago, I dumped both my Leica CL and Leitz-Minolta CL
with a 40 Summicron-C and 90 f4 M-Rokkor, keeping my 28 f2.8 M-Rokkor
and my 28mm finder. I now use the 28 on my M6 with my recently
acquired 50 DR Summicron and soon to be acquired 21 Super-Angulon. I
think this was the best decision about Leicas I've made. My CL's were
in the shop on a regular basis, each being DAG'ed twice, in a fifteen
year history of ownership. If you can get the M6, go for it. They
are much more robust cameras.

Do it! Better yet, make it an M6. After using Leicas since '81, I finally
bought an M6 with a 35 Summicron this past summer. What a wonderful camera.
And carrying it on one shoulder, with my EOS1n, Power Booster, 70-200 2.8 and
2x on the other, it's making me stand crooked! <g> If only Leica will come out
with the promised 90-180 2.8 Apo Elmarit zoom! I might come back to Leica
SLRs. What's an extra 5 pounds? :-P
