[Leica] EF lenses on the SL

Why not just buy a Canon 1DX Mk II in that case, for around the same price, and eschew the one solitary lens that Leica has, in its wisdom, made available? I know it does not have a red dot, but it is matched perfectly to those Canon lenses, and besides, it really is a state of the art digital camera body! :-)
