[Leica] Alternative to the Monochrom! GET A DIGILUX 2?

Ted,
Should be able to do that because it has a EVF, which is the
prerequisite - and like all EVFs gives 100% coverage. It also has a
larger sensor than usual - a Micro 4/3 - and a reasonably fast 24-75mm
Leica badged lens f1.7-2.8. Panasonic make excellent micro 4/3
cameras, and I do not see why this should not be very good indeed. In
fact it is the perfect "carry everywhere" camera. Another similar
option you can check out is the latest iteration of the Sony RX 100,
which has more resolution (20MP), very similar specs and a Zeiss
badged lens:

Either of these, IMHO, are very good travel and street shooting
options. My guess is both the lenses would have a fair amount of
distortion at the end of their ranges, which is the norm nowadays, but
which would be easy to correct via software.

Cheers
Jayanand
