[Leica] Alternative to the Monochrom! GET A DIGILUX 2?

Ted, I own, and used a lot a Pana Lumix for four years, it was the  
digilux 3's cousin - no difference in quality, price tag €1800 when  
the red dot version sported a €2400 tag.
The lenses are up to leica specs - in this category - and I felt I was  
a happy camper.

Now, these are NOT alternatives to a Monochrome, at all, as they are a  
different yet effective system.
