Yet it's still possible - maybe for just a little bit longer - to protect the gazillion $ investment in R lenses (8 of them) and 4 R8 bodies before finally bowing to the gods and accepting something else. I think I'll take Charlie's offer (offline) to pursue non-Leica DMR fixes until they are likewise exhausted. I'm really pissed, though, that Leica Germany won't tell me specifically what is wrong with the DMR and why they can't repair it. Sarah (Leica repair NJ) asked, but no tell. Jim James R.
