Subject: [Leica] RD-1 (AGAIN) or G1? now WTB: RD-1

I agree with Alastair. If I felt that I needed a backup body for the
M8, I would get one of the older M film bodies (M2 or M4, for example)
or one of the CV bodies--here we are talking hundreds, not thousands.

Certainly any backup body would need to be use the Leica lenses that I
have re-acquired. It would also mean limited added weight--after all,
a backup is mostly needed for trips. When I am at home, I also have my
E3 outfit.

On 23rd December I am flying to Poland to spend the holidays with my
sister, and the M8 is coming with me. No backup.
