Yikes! 8 bit! I may have to rethink my upcoming purchase.

Do the histograms fall apart when you stress them? I am NOT paying an  
M8 price for that kind of rubbish. My 2 year old Sony toy does better  
than that. I might as well just keep it if that's the case.

But I have my heart set on the M8. Please tell me it isn't so!

Except I'm getting much better results converting M8 files with  
SilkyPix than with Capture One :-)  The only problem is that SP  
doesn't support the 8 bit DNG files of the M8 so you have to convert  
them to Adobe's DNG files first and then convert them in SP.
