As a sophmore in college, an upperclassman actually gave me his Pelikan rollerball after I made some admiring comment. I've gone through a number of them, but I continue to use them to this day. They used to make a less expensive model one could actually pick up at Office Depot or whatever in years past. But the last time I went to buy a replacement (not lucky with pens, I guess) it appeared that they had discontinued this model, and I had to swing for a more expensive model. $150 or so, IIRC, so still not all that pricey in the scheme of things pen-like.
