What do you want to do, and how much do you want to spend? If you
have an unlimited budget, the choice is easy. Buy whatever suits your
fancy.

I really wanted the 50/1, but I just couldn't cost justify that right
now, and I didn't want it to be my only lens just starting out. I
went with the 35/2. Why? I couldn't justify an extra $1k for another
stop. That's in the range of the 50/1, and I'd rather have the 50/1
than the 35/1.4. So I went with the 35/2. I'll go next to either the
75/1.4 or 90/2. Not sure which, yet. My 3rd lens will most likely be
the 50/1, but I'd rather have a better portrait length before I shoot
with available darkness. :)
