No, the saws are suspended on what appears to be a semi-rigid shaft. I think 
that housing must be the moot that spins the saws. They appear to be about 
10-12 inches each. When it gets several blades engaged at the same time 
though, it torques the devil out of chopper and the pilot horses it around 
against the twist. The pilot seeks to be alone in the cockpit and sticking 
his head out the door to watch the woodline
