I see much the same in small town Texas.  Not much in the triangle between
Austin, San Antonio, and Fredericksburg.  But very similar small towns
around Corsicana(fruit cake anyone).  Same in the piney woods near the
Louisiana border.

Good on you photographing them to preserve their memory.
