Welcome to the Club !
I concur with Jayanand, grand-kids are a life?s boon. Most of the stress of
parenting has gone. Remains the pleasure of watching them grow.

Congrats on the kids, too.

As to the camera, the one you?ll have in hand will always prove handy until
they reach the age of being camera shy. So waste no opportunity.

Slightly off topic and somewhat of a Christmas tale : we had my in-laws on
Xmas eve here, after everyone had been tested negative earlier in the day.
And a sister in-law, a mother of two, asked me in the afternoon if I had
kept the family photos I took since her elder kid was born, saying that
their HD drive had crashed and they had lost all their treasured photos ?

I opened LR on my main catalogue, and explained to her how to make a query
on name, date, or place.
She spent the whole afternoon resurrecting photos and videos we all had
nearly forgotten over the 13 years since Margaux was born, added them to a
new collection which I then exported.
More than a thousand shots of her precious kids back to life :-) Oh her
relief !

Morals : keep shooting with a vengeance, store, and wait, it might come
handy on some Xmas day :-)

Amities
