From the winners it's clear the judges were looking for a clear, brightly lit 'pretty' photo of the sea shore. This happens. With this sort of thing the challenge is often matching the photo to the judges sensibilities or the purpose of the competition as much as it is about taking a good photo. I really like your photo. It reminda me of some of Lisa Golightly's abstract paintings: https://www.lisagolightlyart.com/abstract-paintings On Wed, Apr 1, 2020 at 6:18 AM John McMaster <john at mcmaster.co.uk> wrote: > I got shortlisted in the 'Sea and Coast' section of the Scottish Nature > Photo Awards, this is what won my section and the overall competition..... > > > https://scottishnaturephotographyawards.com/2019_winners/2019-SLSC-Category.html > > This was my submission > https://johnmcmaster.com/PAW/2017/50/content/images/large/L7008207.jpg > > john > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
