Hey Carl,

Windows has built-in drivers for lots of printers and downloads others it
needs.  You need to set Windows so that it will download what it needs.

I found an HP document that might help you.

Many printers auto install after you set windows, I know the 400 series do,
and they were always bears before.  Even my Epson color printer auto
installed.
