My images did not always pop up so fast on my computer but the main thing
slowing them up seemed to have been compression which when I turned it off
made them all pop up quite fast. It seems counter intuitive larger files but
they do pop up faster without having to figure out a compression scheme. I
don?t mind real big files just as long as the software is keyed into how to
open them! I also thing they may do better in the year 2525 when everyones
gone hologram and us poor 2d people have limits on software options!

An unexpected consequence of the 49 megapixel sensor on the Q2 is that I
brought back about 330GB of DNGs. Going through them in Lightroom is
much slower than usual. And the Time Machine backups and offsite
    ("cloud") backups are endless.

In time I will have more images.
