Don,

I have four Super Takumars, from the 50/1.4 to the 200/4, and all are
sharp, but, to me, the sharpest is the 55/1.8, which I believe was a
"kit lens" sold with Spotmatics.  The 50/1.4 does make beautiful
portraits, such as this one.
