Brian,
It is funny that there is not even a peep on the US site that this software
(Stellar) originates in India. The only give away is that there is a bit at
the bottom of the page referencing a Pvt Ltd company as the owner, which
got me searching, and finding out that this a product from an Indian
company. Are there still prejudices in the marketplace for using software
products from outside the USA?

They seem to have a free download for recovering photos here:
