A computer that needs some repair There are generally 2 things that go wrong with a computer. Hardware and software. If it is a hardware issue, going from windows to linux will not fix the?hardware problem. If you do the change, instead of a broken windows machine, you will have a broken linux machine. No significant difference. if it is a software issue, it is most likely a corrupted operating system. If trying to repair windows?does?not work, get a new hdd, format it, then put a fresh copy (buy it, use a installation disk you already have, seek out through dell?for acopy of what you paid for with your original computer purchase)?and that should get you up to normalcy.?If you need help with diagnosis or with my suggestions, or understanding what Dell wants to do ro your computet,?email me off list.?Frank FilipponeRed735i at verizon.net.?
