There has been a flurry of talk about the use of this feature. ( this is
the discussion about distorted fast moving subjects when used with the
e-shutter which migrated from discussions of noisy cameras during
Pesidential news announcements)

Sony has announced a scientific paper for a imaging sensor with an A/D
converter behind each sensor pixel. Using this technology would mean that
all the pixels woud be time registered at one time, and the distortion of
fast moving subjects would be eliminated.

More importanty, it would also mean there is no need for a mechanical
shutter mechanism.

The President?s office would again be a silent place.... or so one would
hope.

Note that I have been using this e-shutter feature since I purchased my 2
Sonys.....
I am now experimenting with the feature since it has a downside. 12 vs 14
bit color depth.

Everything is a compromise.... is it better to have more color depth at the
expense of shutter shake just before the image is captured?
