Thanks - there's a serious loss of sharpness in the angles at this aperture 
(thinking of the decaying trunk where flare appears in the bottom left 
corner too), but the center is (way) more than fine by my standards.

Now, had you shot the flowers at a wider aperture, and these at f.11, I 
certainly would be the last one to blame you ?

;-)


How is distortion when shooting less bucolic scenes, for instance the facade 
of a building at the smallest end of the zoom range, or the structure of a 
shopping mall, is the next question I?m aking myself :-)
