Subject: [Leica] Leica oddity Leica M4 camera set up from factory with Leica MDa Shutter Crate

Has the proper milled out area for a data strip (ala MD MDa MD2) factory 
shutter crate assembly perfect identical to the one on my MD (non a) 

M4 Top plate 1180xxx SN 1967 M4 according to lists

M4 Sync 24 x 36 (is not POST Camera 24x27)

M4 ST (MDa lacked ST)

M4 VF RF Framelines proper

Somewhere in 1967, someone special ordered a one off or a handful of Leica 
M4 camera/s that could use the M4 data strip or it was a prototype

Sherry K and Youxin are said to have swapped tops adding an M4-2 finder and 
M4-2 top plate to MDa/MD2 for a ghastly price to a tiny handful of cameras

BUT THIS ALSO HAS THE STANDARD SELF M4 SELF TIMER which their conversions 
would not have as MD series lacked them

Ditto PV lever (standard M4) which MDa lacked
