Subject: [Leica] Help with understanding the new SSD in my computer.....

Most modern hard drives are fast enough to hold your data. The shining
point of an SSD is that it operates your *programs* with terrific speed,
not to mention a lightning fast boot-up.

I have SSD's as my boot drives, and loaded Windows, my Adobe programs; LR,
PS, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office there.

That array is small enough to fit on a 250 gig ssd with lots of room to
spare.

Then I have a one TB drive in as my data drive, and I now use Dropbox for
current picture files, and am able to retrieve them from any of my 3
computers, my ipad or my iPhone.

Image access into PS from my Dropbox is nearly as fast as from my hard
drive, at least fast enough for me, and I always have a need for speed.

Sonny
