Correction   My Monochrom has the CCD ( old, like M9) sensor....

Yes.  I remember checking it....
M9 is now at V1.204
MM ( CMOS Monochrom) is at V1.008... the MM is untouched, original.  Note:
Current FW is 1.016 ( 10/2016)

The glass cover plate ( new vs old ) is different, necessitating slightly
different image processing "tweaks".  (color?) The changes of firmware does
NOT indicate a new sensor, it indicates the cover plate is different.....
It MAY indicate a change of the silicon sensor....  You can not tell from
this data.

Did your firmware number change on your camera when you received it back
from Leica?
