I think,. Compared to an M8, it is a good deal....
Compared to a Fuji, not quite so good.... and the Fuji can use Leica lenses 
too, with an adapter..... or use the really good Fuji lenses, with AF and 
Aperture control....

I had an XE-1 and kit lens.  It was a good kit.

There IS an optional EVF, Frank. I don?t know what the specs for it are. 
?High resolution, electronic and designed exclusively for the Leica TL? But 
clicking on the link vectors to an information-free page.

This would be mandatory for my use most of the time.
