Douglas,

I'm not certain, from the photo, exactly what is broken, but it appears 
that one of the legs is broken at the root of the threads.  If that is 
the case, a machinist can drill the stub that is left in the hole, and 
use an "easy-out" to remove the broken end.  Then he should be able to 
thread a short rod to replace the leg.  It probably would not have the 
knurling on the leg, but it would certainly be serviceable.
