Thanks Lluis,

I agree with you about the blocked blacks. Thank you for the Doisneau 
comment, too.

I like Ilford a lot and I find XP2 is at times very good. I am experimenting 
at
this point. I don't see a great deal of difference between 400ASA XP2 and 
Kodak
BW400CN which I used t like a great deal. Neither is TriX or FP4/HP5; but it 
has
the advantage that almost anyone can develp it; though not all people 
develop it
to equal standards!

If I continue in this vein I will probably get a Vuescan, too.
