Well, at this stage, the US gun legislation is seen as a complete joke
abroad. Sadly, your inactions in the face of an obvious problem portrays the
USA as a nation of hapless fools ruled by the NRA lobby. Ordinary gun
owners, or as they call themselves "reasonable", are not marching to 11250
Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, Virginia to protest at the lack of gun
legislation. They're mostly sitting on their arses worrying that their own
gun rights may be compromised. They should be organising a protest event
now, and marching at the end of the month while carrying their hunting
rifles to NRA HQ.

For a bit more of a media impact, as the human body has about five litres of
blood, a large group (honour party) could carry multiple buckets of red
coloured liquid equivalent to the amount of blood in the many victims of
senseless gun slayings since the start of 2016. When they reach the HQ they
could pour it on the ground to symbolise the waste of human life that lack
of proper regulation has allowed. Photojournalists would be standing on
themselves to shoot that imagery. That's the sort of message that the media
and Joe Public understand, and would put pressure on Lapierre and his
politicians.

However, as I said in another post, there'll be, as per usual, a lot of
huffing and puffing from politicos, and earnest promises about legislation,
but nothing is going to happen. Nothing. All those earlier massacres changed
precisely nothing. We'll just have to wait 'til the next record slaying
which is probably just around the corner.

Douglas
