Subject: [Leica] brain dead M-D

The only one of my cameras (have about 30 of them now - down from 60 but
almost all are film) that has auto shut-off is my Fuji X100S. I thought that
it's a fairly recent development as I'd never seen the feature before, so
I'm gradually letting the auto shut-off wean me in its direction. The only
problem is when I use a camera that needs to be turned off after I've
finished with it, I sometimes forget to do so - a king sized pain in the
arse when the battery dies.

The thing I thought weird about the M-D was the lack of rear screen. How did
you find that arrangement, did you miss the screen, Dave?
