Induro makes a nice Carbon Fiber tripod at a decent price.  I use the Gitzo
Systematic 5 Series for my Bird photos with the 400/2.8 lens.  RRS  also
makes a good tripod, but are in the Gitzo price range.  If you are going to
shoot Long lenses, 400 and above, you need a Gimbal head, I use the
Wimberly gimbal.
