There was a brief article in the Irish Times yesterday about Mr. Abosch's
oeuvre and the price attained. He said this....
"I see commonalities between humans and potatoes that speak to our
relationship as individuals within a collective species. Generally, the life
of a harvested potato is violent and taken for granted. I use the potato as
a proxy for the ontological study of the human experience."

So that explains the million euro bonding that both buyer and seller
embraced.

As result of the insights gained, I placed my recent purchase of potatoes on
individual silk cushions and am playing soothing music to them. A little
cosseting is the least I could do to make up for the traumas of culinary
violence I've inflicted on the Solanum Tuberosum family over 65 years

My guilt is now assuaged, and my life is now a little more fulfilled :-)

Douglas
